CHARACTERS: TWO FEMALES
ZULEKHA
INJSA
DIRECTIONS:
Dim lights, Injsa enters wearing a long black dress. She stands downstage center.
She remains silent and still for a moment. Then she tries to open an imaginary door but can't.
The door is locked.
After a few moments, Zulekha enters, also wearing long black dress singing a lament like a kind of dirge.
She stands next to Injsa. They are both silent for a ew seconds. Then Zulekha speaks.
At the end of play, lights dim, Injsa sings, lights dim to black while Injsa still singing.
