LIFE

 LIFE

Life is very cruel

Or we are very cruel towards life

We all know it's one life

And rather a very short one

But we behave as if it's our enemy

And we treat it horribly

We behave as it's not our life

It is not our life which is cruel

It's our own cruelty which soaks it

Into an unblessed and miserable state

Be a lover to your life...

Not even a good friend

But a lover...

A sweet heart of a lover...

Remember that!

From now on-remember

Don't always be a moaner

You have a lover now

A great lover...

A gift of god

Treat it well with care

And attention

Be thankful.

God blessed you with a hell of a lot.

Remember that...

'THE ONLY WORDS"

 "THE ONLY WORDS"

The only words

We say to a thing,

When we desire it,

Is that we say to it

Be,

And it is.

(from Qoran, Surat, The Bee.

OH! GAZA

 OH! GAZA

Oh! Gaza, you made me a writer

Just the pain and suffering of so many children of Gaza

Made me a writer

Now I am a writer

I was children'riter.s doctor before

Now the murder of children

Oh! so many, so many children

So many children of Gaza

So many children...

Made me a writer

CHAOS AND NOTHINGNESS

 CHAOS AND NOTHINGNESS

Chaos and nothingness won't go away

But for sure can be postponed for the day for doing

something  you really love to do.

That would keep chaos and nothingness away

for at least one day.

And every day will be that day

When chaos had been postponed temporarily

UN-NERVED

You must not be un-nerved by everyboday

and by every occasion, otherwise you will destroy yourself.

Every moment of the day would be ruined by every one

whom you encounter.

Prepare yourself in advance to be totally un-nerved by every atrocity.

Always have a smile on for irritants of all kinds.

That smile one must reserve for anyone who can be a source of annoyance

of one kind or another.

That smile will keep you languidly amused.

EMPTINESS OF THE DAY

Emptiness of the day,

of the aternoon,

of the evening

and of the night...

How to fill it?

Try, try, try your best to do something, anything which interest you

Anything which you like, anything you love, anything which you

would ;ike to talk about, like to think about, laugh about.

Remember, remember things you loved and lost.

Any way memories of loss can be a source of sorrow,

but try to make them pleasant like pleasant, pleasurable companions.

CHILDREN

CHILDREN

Children are curious.

They watch everyone

Want to communicate with everyone

Want to know everything

To them no one is a stranger

They want to get to know everyone

Everything is fascinating to them

They silently ask questions

Wonder about things...flowers, trees, lakes, water, people.

They are inquisitive

They are alive.

I want to live like a child

I want this world to be fascinating to me

I want to notice the flowers, water, the moon, the sun, the people.

My desire to be a child is so strong that I have become a child

I write like a child

I draw like a child

My curiosity is like a child

I think like a child

I watch like a child

I talk like a child

I sleep like a child

I live like a child.

I AM ALIVE

SOMEBODY, A SKETCH BY BINA SHARIF

BECAUSE YOU ARE A NOBODY.

No one is as unhappy as we are

The next day with an other

No morals

No sophistication ...

Just happy...

Very happy...

Very very happy.  BS
